This is a serious one. The installation "sense“ .  74 empty frames covered partially with red. It is important to me to show that on our way to a new humanity stands the understanding that the only result of war, hate, racial/religious issues, terrorism is : that people will suffer and die. Families. Men, Women, Children.

I made these 74 empty frames covered partially with red painting blood-like, hanging on a wall just like innombrable portraits of family members -last year while listening to the drama that hit the Syrian population. But I wanted the frames to be of larger interpretation than that. For me they stand for every lost out of conflicts in the world. My roots are so various that I felt concerned. About my roots : I am not sure about them – I know my grand parents from mothers side – they were jewish – the catholic church in their little village in germany where they lived helped them to hide during WWII – nobody got deported – my mother and my father grew up in a catholic education –  I don’t know much about my ancestors from father’s side - in my family are atheists, moslems, buddhists … we are so mixed – I decided that my roots are the mankind. Much easier to understand for me. And that's what makes me concerned. And that’s what I wanted to say with „sense“.
